LSU adds second QB to incoming freshman class

Last month, LSU accumulated what was determined the be the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class on National Signing Day.

That signing class included dual-threat QB Lindsey Scott, who was expected to be the Tigers’ only new QB after former commit Feleipe Franks decided to instead sign with Florida.

But on Monday night, it was revealed that the Tigers are bringing another QB on board in 2016.

Jake Broggi, a 6-4 QB from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, was added to the class as a preferred walk-on.

According to a report from SEC Country, Broggi leaves high school as the all-time leading passer in New Orleans’ Catholic league.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound quarterback did not hold any other scholarship offers, but had preferred walk-on offers from TCU, Louisiana-Lafayette and Memphis.
