WATCH: College GameDay dives into history of Mike the Tiger, designing his pregame meals

The LSU Tigers have a live tiger mascot in Mike VII, and he’s a very popular presence around campus, living in a beautiful on-campus habitat.
On Saturday, ESPN College GameDay reporter Maria Taylor dove into the history of Mike, including his new tradition of meaty pregame meals.
As you can see in the video below, Taylor interviews Ginger, who deals a lot with Mike on a daily basis:

That’s a cool look behind the scenes at something like Mike’s meals, which are usually in the shape of the opposing team’s logo.
Mike will be ready for Saturday night’s game, and we’ll see if the football Tigers can take down Alabama as quickly as Mike took down his meal.
