Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott has been a man on a mission to prove that he’s capable of helping an NFL team as a quarterback.
His prep for the NFL Draft began with a strong showing at the Senior Bowl last month, during which he earned the Most Outstanding Player honors.
Continuing that momentum at this week’s NFL Combine is an important next step in the process.
On Saturday, he ran the 40-yard dash with fellow NFL quarterback hopefuls:

His unofficial results were 4.80 and 4.81 seconds in his two attempts.

While the 40-yard dash numbers are not the most important thing for NFL quarterbacks, there may have been an expectation for some that Prescott would have been a little bit faster than he showed on Saturday given his 41 rushing touchdowns during his time at Mississippi State.

Still yet, NFL scouts are likely to be much more interested in how the former Bulldogs QB throws the football during on-the-field workouts.
