LOOK: Mississippi State fans make it clear they want Keytaon Thompson to start next week

The Mississippi State Bulldogs couldn’t get anything going offensively on Saturday night in Baton Rouge, falling to LSU 19-3.

It was a particularly rough day for QB Nick Fitzgerald, who only completed 8 of his 24 passes for 59 yards and four interceptions.

It’s been a tough year for Fitzgerald, who continues to dominate in the running game, but has regressed as a passer in Joe Moorhead’s first year as coach. Now, fans have seen enough of the guy who had some preseason Heisman buzz.

Heading into next week’s home game against Texas A&M, fans have made it clear they want backup QB Keytaon Thompson to get the start:

Nick Fitzgerald has some trouble seeing secondary receivers that are open and recognizing defensive packages but he can work on that with his Arena League or Euro team next season.
