A day after Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced all football stadiums in the state will be limited to 25 percent capacity, Mississippi State has confirmed that Davis Wade Stadium will follow that same set limit.

MSU released its gameday operational guidelines for 2020 on Friday. The release detailed Reeves’ executive order of no on-campus tailgating:

In accordance with guidelines established in Executive Order 1519 from Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, tailgating will not be permitted on MSU’s campus this season. This prohibition applies to all tailgating, picnics, fanfare areas, and the like.

Tailgating isn’t the only popular pregame activity that won’t take place this fall.

“The tradition of lining the sidewalk of The Junction to welcome and high-five the team as they enter the stadium will be put on pause for this season,” the release reads.

Similar to other SEC programs, Mississippi State is requiring face coverings for all fans in attendance

Face coverings (over the nose and mouth) shall be required as a condition of all guest ingress, egress, and movement throughout the stadium, as well as any time guests are unable to maintain the recommended physical distance from others who are not in their same household.

All stadium workers and athletic department staff will wear face coverings at all times, per the announcement.

Bulldog fans who are attending home games will now be able to purchase beer:

In compliance with the Mississippi Legislature’s adoption of Senate Bill 2253, beer sales will be allowed in Davis Wade Stadium. The 2020 legislation granted MSU the legal “resort status” necessary to authorize beer sales in the university’s athletic venues and brings MSU in step with all Mississippi Division 1 universities and other Southeastern Conference colleagues.

More on ticketing and stadium entry can be found in the full release here.
