Mississippi State, for the 2nd time in less than a week, has received some good news regarding its 2024 football recruiting class.
TJ Lockhart, a 6-foot-6, 365-pound offensive tackle from Winona (Miss.), has committed to Zach Arnett and the Bulldogs. He made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday afternoon:

Lockhart’s pledge marks the 2nd for the class of 2024 for the Bulldogs, with both commitments coming within days of each other. On Wednesday evening, 4-star Alabama quarterback Josh Flowers, considered to be among the country’s top 25 players at his position, announced that he would play collegiately in Starkville.
The 2024 recruiting cycle marks Arnett’s 1st full one at the helm of the Bulldogs program after being elevated to head coach following the death of Mike Leach. The Bulldogs ended up with the No. 34 recruiting class in the country for 2023.
On the field, they’ll be looking to improve on a 9-4 record (4-4 SEC). They ended the year ranked No. 20 following a victory in the ReliaQuest Bowl, Arnett’s 1st game in charge.
