Mississippi State lands commitment from 4-star quarterback in class of 2024
Mississippi State has its quarterback of the future.
The Bulldogs earned a commitment from 4-star quarterback Josh Flowers on Wednesday night. Flowers is from Mobile, Alabama, and is one of the top passers in the 2024 cycle.

Flowers currently ranks as the No. 323 overall player and the No. 21 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 19 player from the state of Alabama.
He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. He attends Baker High School in Mobile.
Flowers chose the Bulldogs over offers from programs like Alabama, Texas A&M, NC State, Arkansas, and other top teams. He’s also visited both Florida and Florida State in the past.
Flowers is Mississippi State’s 1st commitment in the class of 2024. The Bulldogs are expected to be more aggressive on the recruiting trail in the coming weeks. Their class currently ranks No. 51 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
