Rapid Reaction: Mississippi State rides incredible Will Rogers performance to easy win over Bowling Green

Mississippi State lost to LSU in Death Valley last week.
That proved to be bad news for Bowling Green on Saturday, as the Bulldogs took out some frustrations early and often in Starkville, cruising to an easy 45-14 victory.
QB Will Rogers got back on track in a big way after a lackluster performance at LSU.
He got started early and wouldn’t stop until he had thrown for more than 400 yards and 6 touchdowns. Here was one of Caleb Ducking’s 2 touchdown grabs:

Here was a strike to Tulu Griffin for Griffin’s first touchdown of the season:

A total of 5 different Mississippi State receivers caught Rogers’ 6 touchdown throws — Ducking (2), Griffin, Jamire Calvin, Jaden Walley and Simeon Price. Rogers finished his day with 406 yards to go with those 6 passing touchdowns.
Shawn Preston Jr. had an interception in what was a strong defensive effort from the Bulldogs. The Falcons had compiled fewer than 250 total yards midway through the fourth quarter.
It was a good time for the Bulldogs to build confidence, as their next 4 games before their Oct. 29 open date are absolutely brutal — vs. No. 23 Texas A&M, vs. No. 10 Arkansas, at No. 8 Kentucky and at No. 1 Alabama.
We’ll see if Mike Leach’s squad can pull off upsets in 1 or 2 of those games.
