It’s another season with a new defensive coordinator in Starkville.
Affectionately known as “The Mad Scientist,” Bob Shoop arrives to MSU after recent stops at Tennessee, Penn State and Vanderbilt. Shoop replaces Todd Grantham, who followed former Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen to Florida.
Shoop is coaching the safeties this fall, but as defensive coordinator, he’ll be working with all the position groups as can be seen in the wired for sound video below shared by MSU’s Hail State Productions via the team’s official Twitter account.
“Let’s do our thing – start fast, finish strong.”
