Chuck Hicks has made a decision regarding his future at Missouri Monday.

The linebacker took to social media to announce he will indeed run it back in Columbia with the Tigers in 2024.

Hicks was a big part of the Tigers’ defense in 2023. The linebacker racked up 49 tackles, which was the 4th-most on the team. Hicks also had 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble in the regular season.

The backer spent the first 3 seasons of his college career at Wyoming. Hicks transferred to the Tigers before the 2021 season and mostly played on special teams in his first season. In 2022, Hicks was sidelined all season with an injury. Finally, in 2023, Hicks received a chance to start, and he took advantage of it.

The Tigers finished with the No. 39 total defense and were No. 16 in the nation in total sacks. An improved defense helped lead the Tigers to a 10-2 record in the regular season, with a 6-2 mark in SEC play. The Tigers earned a Cotton Bowl bid and will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
