The Denver Nuggets selected former Mizzou F Michael Porter Jr. with the No. 14 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after he fell out of the top portion of the draft.
If MPJ stays healthy, he’ll be a steal for the Nuggets, and they’ve now made an investment in the former Tiger.
Per a report from NBA.com, the Nuggets have officially agreed to a multi-year deal with Porter, the team’s president of basketball operations said:
The Denver Nuggets have signed rookie F Michael Porter Jr. to a multi-year contract, President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly announced today.
Porter’s back injury, suffered during his time at Mizzou, may keep him out of the upcoming NBA season, but that’s not a certainty at this point.
If he can play though, the Nuggets may be very glad the ex-Tiger slipped all the way to No. 14.
