Not a great start to the 2018 season for Missouri safety Kaleb Prewett as the defensive back has been suspended from the program indefinitely. The school announced the news Wednesday morning.

No specific reason was given for the suspension aside from a “violation of team policy” but the school did issue a statement:

“Kaleb Prewett has been indefinitely suspended from the University of Missouri football program for a violation of team policy. We will continue to gather additional information and work with campus and department leadership to determine his future in our program.”

Prewett is a transfer from Kansas State, 2017 was his first season on the field for the Tigers after sitting out the 2016 season. He registered 59 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups last season. He is scheduled to be a senior in 2018.
