The battle for Columbia got testy Sunday night.
During the second quarter of the No. 11 Missouri vs. No. 9 South Carolina women’s basketball game, two Mizzou players — Nadia Green and Jordan Roundtree — were ejected for leaving the bench area during a scuffle on the floor. South Carolina’s Alexis Jennings and Mizzou’s Kayla Mitchell were battling for possession of the loose ball and things escalated from there.
Missouri’s Sophie Cunningham then entered the mix to try and break up the scuffle, and she appeared to get hit in the head by USC’s Doniyah Cliney. Following the review, just Green and Roundtree were ejected.
