With star RB Damarea Crockett out of Saturday’s game against Idaho, the Missouri Tigers needed someone to step up and help lead the running game.
Fortunately for coach Barry Odom, true freshman Larry Rountree III was up to the challenge, ending the first quarter with a huge run.
As you can see in the video below, Rountree breaks several tackles and bowls over an Idaho defender on a long 53-yard run:

Midway through the second quarter, Rountree has five carries for 81 yards, and he’ll continue to get a lot of work the rest of the way.
Mizzou leads 37-7 in Saturday’s homecoming game, and it could be a good day for lots of Tigers to pad their stats against an inferior Vandals squad.
