NCAA Softball: Women’s College World Series schedule (Updated June 2, 2022)

The NCAA Softball Women’s College World Series starts Thursday in Oklahoma City. The USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium — OGE Energy Field — will host the event. The tournament runs through Friday, June 10.

All 8 teams are in action Thursday as the Women’s College World Series kicks off. The winner’s from Thursday’s games will advance and have byes on Friday. The losers of all 4 games will play one another on Friday in elimination games. The tournament format consists of 2 4-team double-elimination brackets. The full schedule and bracket can be seen below.

No. 1 seed Oklahoma Sooners are the favorite to win the Women’s College World Series. Joining OU, 4 other nationally-seeded teams will play in the tournament — No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Northwestern and No. 14 Florida. Texas, Oregon State and Arizona are all unranked teams to reach the College World Series.

Sixty four teams entered the tournament which began May 20, 2022, and the Women’s College World Series is set to start on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Thirty-two teams were originally selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Softball Committee. Sixteen teams were seeded and placed at one of the 16 regional sites. The regional site winners advanced to a best-of-3 Super Regionals. The winners of the Super Regionals advanced to the World Series.

  • All 8 teams are in action on Thursday as the double-elimination tournament starts.
  • The biggest matchup to watch will be No. 1 Oklahoma vs. No. 9 Northwestern at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
  • The losers of all 4 games will play one another Friday in an elimination game.

Thursday, June 2

  • Game 1: Texas vs. UCLA, 12 p.m. ET
  • Game 2: Northwestern vs. Oklahoma, 2:30 p.m. ET
  • Game 3: Oregon State vs. Florida, 7 p.m. ET
  • Game 4: Arizona vs. Oklahoma State, 9:30 p.m. ET

Friday, June 3

  • Game 5: Loser of game 1 vs. Loser of game 2, 7 p.m. ET
  • Game 6: Loser of game 3 vs. Loser of game 4, 9:30 p.m. ET
