2022 SEC Baseball Tournament schedule (Updated May 29, 2022)

The 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament comes to a close Sunday afternoon with the conference championship game. The surging Florida Gators will face the dominant Tennessee Volunteers for the hardware at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Gators battled their way through the loser’s bracket to win 2 elimination games Saturday — 11-6 over Alabama and 9-0 over Texas A&M. Florida was able to use just 4 pitchers total in both games, and the Gators offense is red-hot! Florida eliminated South Carolina in the first round; however, the Aggies run-ruled the Gators in the second round to send them to the loser’s bracket. Florida then eliminated Arkansas on Friday, and the Gators won 2 games Saturday to reach the championship.

Tennessee, on the other hand, hasn’t lost in Hoover yet. The Volunteers hammered Vanderbilt 10-1 in the second round, beat LSU 5-2 in the third round and dominated Kentucky 12-2 late Saturday night. Tennessee can beat teams in many different ways, and despite the outcome of Sunday’s championship game, Tennessee should be the No. 1 overall seed Monday when the tournament bracket is announced.

Following the conclusion of the SEC baseball tournament — and other conference tournaments, the field of 64 teams and regional site locations will be announced and played June 3-5, Super Regionals will be played June 10-12 and the College World Series will be played June 16 through June 27.

• Florida eliminated Texas A&M 9-0 Saturday.
• Tennessee eliminated Kentucky 12-2 Saturday night.
• The Volunteers and Gators will play Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN2 for the SEC Championship Game.
