Baseball America is out with this week’s poll, and there’s a new No. 1.

Notre Dame is now No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 after it swept an abbreviated series at North Carolina State to open ACC play. Ole Miss leads 7 SEC teams in the poll at No. 2, including 4 in the top 10, with Vanderbilt (6), Arkansas (7), and Tennessee (9). Florida (13), LSU (16) and Georgia (18) also made the poll.

Texas dropped 3 spots to No. 4.

Ole Miss and Oral Roberts split a Sunday doubleheader at Swayze Field, with the Rebels winning game one 6-2 and the Golden Eagles taking Game 3 8-4. But Ole Miss (13-2) won the series, however, with a 16-2 victory on Friday night over ORU (10-5).

Vanderbilt on Sunday scored a season-high 15 runs to beat Wagner, 15-5, on Sunday afternoon and sweep the three-game series at Hawkins Field.

Dominic Keegan and Gavin Casas each had 4 RBIs as 9 different Commodores scored a run. The Vandy Boys had 8 doubles, which is the most since the team recorded eight at Clemson on June 3, 2017.

For Arkansas, Chris Lanzilli delivered a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to lead Arkansas (11-3) to a 10-8 series-sweeping win over UIC (4-9) at Baum-Walker Stadium.

The Vols also had a hit party as 8 different players drove in runs while Tennessee completed its third series sweep of the season, as it beat Rhode Island 12-3 on Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Junior outfielder Jordan Beck went 5-for-5 on the day with 5 singles and 2 runs scored.
