Baseball America Top 25: SEC lands 7 teams in latest poll, including 3 in top 10

Baseball America released its latest top 25 poll, and the SEC had 7 teams in the ranking.
Texas remained No. 1 despite suffering its first loss of the season. The Longhorns got off to an 11-0 start to the season before they suffered their first loss Sunday against UCLA. Texas is off to its best start to the season since 2009.
Stanford and Notre Dame remain Nos. 2 and 3, while Mississippi rose to No. 4 after a road series win. Virginia rounded out the top 5. Meanwhile, Mississippi State fell out of the poll.
Ole Miss beat UCF for 9-1 in Orlando. Jackson Kimbrell earned his first win of the season in relief, as he allowed just one hit and no runs over 2.2 innings. Dylan DeLucia replaced Kimbrell for the last 4 frames and struck out six of the 13 batters he faced to earn the save.

Four new teams join the Top 25 this week. Gonzaga enters at No. 19 after beating Oklahoma State twice in Stillwater. North Carolina and Clemson follow at Nos. 20 and 21 after it swept Coastal Carolina and South Carolina, respectively. Tulane entered at No. 23 and made its first appearance in the Top 25 since the final ranking of 2016.
