Getting suspended when your team is facing elimination in the NCAA Baseball Tournament isn’t ideal, but that’s what happened on Saturday night in Chapel Hill.
North Carolina head coach Scott Forbes was ejected from the Tar Heels’ game against VCU after a pair of questionable calls.
Now, he has been suspended for 2 games, including UNC’s do-or-die game against Georgia on Sunday afternoon:

Why was Forbes ejected? He argued this call of runner interference in the second inning of the loss to VCU:

And then this play was not ruled an infield fly, leading to a double play instead of 1 out with the infield fly rule:

Will not having Forbes in the dugout hurt the Tar Heels as they face elimination in the regional they’re hosting? We’ll see if Georgia can take advantage.
