Based on the video’s audio, the Weatherford pitcher is Owen Woodward, a sophomore right-hander from Breckenridge, Texas. The North Central Texas batter is Josh Phillips, a freshman 1st baseman/pitcher, according to commentators.
As one would expect, the North Central bench exited the dugout to defend Phillips. Despite the commotion, no Weatherford players are shown leaving the bench in the clip.
Texas College Baseball’s video of the play is currently over 1.6 million views.
