SEC baseball remained in a strong position in the latest rankings from D1 Baseball.
LSU is still in the No. 1 spot after the Tigers swept Ole Miss over the weekend. South Carolina moved up 3 spots to No. 3 thanks to a weekend sweep of Florida.
Though the Tigers lead the way, the top spot is still hotly contested with Wake Forest and South Carolina right on their heels. Wake Forest remained at No. 2 after it went on the road and scored 40 runs the final 2 games against Pittsburgh, while Florida and Vanderbilt round out the top 5.
Arkansas slipped 2 spots to No. 7, and Kentucky dropped 2 places to No. 15.
Tennessee made it into the rankings at No. 24 after the Vols swept Vanderbilt and notched their 7th consecutive win over the Commodores to complete the series sweep for the second straight year. UT’s 7 straight victories over the Commodores is its longest win streak in the series since the program won 8 in a row from 1993-94.
