Another week in the college baseball season means it is time for another edition of fresh college baseball rankings. On Monday, that includes an updated top 25 from Baseball America as we ride the twists and turns toward the first weekend in May.
As we put the finishing touches on April, Texas rides the No. 1 spot in Baseball America’s poll yet again after a clean sweep of Texas A&M this weekend. It was far from easy, but it runs the Longhorns’ streak at No. 1 a bit longer to wrap up the month.
The rest of the top 10 included plenty of changeover with new faces like Auburn, West Virginia and UC Irvine cracking the top part of the poll. Overall, 6 programs moved at least 8 spots in the poll while Vanderbilt produced one of the biggest drops of the week.
Moving forward, the poll will be of particular interest as we see teams try and jockey for position as potential regional host sites in the NCAA Tournament. Those sites will play a key role in shaping the race to the College World Series in Omaha.
For now, here is the full Baseball America poll:
- Texas
- LSU
- North Carolina
- Georgia
- Auburn

- Oregon
- Ole Miss
