The college baseball rankings for the first week of May have been updated with a fresh top 25 from D1 Baseball dropping Monday morning. Across the SEC, there have been very few changes for the heavy hitters in the conference.

At the top, LSU remains locked into the No. 1 spot entering the final month of the regular season. The Tigers have actually dropped their last two midweek nonconference games but swept Alabama to finish the month of April. LSU is also 8-1 in its past 9 SEC games with back-to-back sweeps.

South Carolina, Florida, Vanderbilt and Arkansas also represented the SEC as top-10 teams in spots 3-6 on the rankings. The Gamecocks remain at No. 3 despite a 1-2 series defeat to Auburn, but South Carolina previously swept Florida — the No. 4 team on the poll — across April 20-22.

Vanderbilt and Arkansas continued to shine with 3-0 and 3-1 weeks, respectively. The Commodores swept Kentucky while Arkansas swept Texas A&M after a loss to Missouri State in a midweek game.

Tennessee is the other SEC program on the top 25 with the Vols starting to climb back up the poll at No. 18. After a rough stretch in the SEC, Tennessee has rattled off 6 straight conference wins with back-to-back sweeps of Vanderbilt and Mississippi State.
