College baseball rankings: Tennessee remains No. 1 as Florida continues free fall in D1Baseball’s latest (March 24)

College baseball rankings for the week of March 24 are getting updated with the folks of D1Baseball dropping their latest top 25 on Monday!

At the top, Tennessee continues to headline the list as the No. 1 team in the country. This past week was the first rough moment — and the first losses — for Tony Vitello’s Vols as the team went 2-2 over the week. However, a series win over No. 12 Alabama keeps Tennessee in the pole position.

Arkansas and Georgia followed at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, while LSU fell from No. 2 to No. 8 after the Tigers dropped a weekend series to No. 7 Texas. However, the major story of the past 2 weeks continues to be Florida.

After starting the year 18-2 in nonconference play, the Gators have been swept in back-to-back series to begin the SEC schedule. This weekend, Florida was swept at home by Georgia with the Bulldogs outscoring the Gators 40-13. As a result, Florida plummeted all the way out of the top 25 after checking in at No. 13 a week ago.
