Florida made a significant addition out of the transfer portal on Thursday afternoon.

The Gators earned a commitment from former Notre Dame pitcher Riley Reeth, who received significant interest from multiple programs after entering the portal. He profiles as an impact contributor for Florida next season in what will be his final year of eligibility.

Here’s his announcement:

Reeth exclusive came out of the bullpen for the Fighting Irish in 2025. He made 22 appearances and posted a 4.31 ERA with 43 strikeouts and 12 walks across 48 innings of work. Reeth’s impressive command led to a 4-2 record and 3 saves out of the bullpen. He was second on the team in saves for the 2025 season. His 22 appearances on the year were also a season-high.

Reeth will likely be in position to earn an impact bullpen role for Florida next season. The Gators are looking to re-load this offseason after a disappointing 2025 campaign saw them bow out in NCAA Regionals.

Reeth has spent his entire college baseball career at Notre Dame up to this point. He redshirted in 2022 and then made an impact for the Irish in 2023 and 2024 before entering the portal this offseason. He’s originally from Windemere, Florida.
