This seems to be a trend as of late, right?
Unsurprisingly, in a year that gave us one of the most exciting 8-team CWS fields in recent memory, LSU and Florida’s Game 3 title bout was revealed as the most-watched ESPN televised baseball game in CWS history Tuesday.
Per Front Office Sports, the title matchup drew 3.59 million viewers. That number trails only the World Baseball Final between Japan and the U.S. as the most-watched baseball game this year.

This is quite a testament to the state of college baseball right now, especially when you consider Game 3, form an outside perspective, was not a competitive baseball game. Florida kept it close for a few innings before LSU opened the flood gates, just as the Gators did to the Tigers in Game 2.
But how can you ignore the sheer amount of talent that was on the field? Dylan Crews, Wyatt Langford, Tommy White, Jac Caglianone and, though he didn’t throw a pitch, Paul Skenes all have major league star potential.
College baseball is on the rise, folks!
