MLB Division Series rosters feature 14 players from SEC schools

October is a fun time to be a sports fan. In addition to football being in full swing, we’ve got postseason baseball being played.

After last week’s Wild Card round, MLB playoffs have reached the Division Series stage. Fourteen players from current SEC schools are on LDS rosters, the conference announced over the weekend. While Texas has yet to play its first SEC baseball game, the conference is including 3 former Longhorns on the postseason list.

Florida leads all schools with 4 alumni on Divisional Series rosters. Texas is next in line with 3 former players, followed by Mississippi State with 2.

From an MLB perspective, the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets lead the way with 4 former SEC players on their postseason rosters. The New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies are next with 2 players from SEC schools, followed by the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers with 1 each.
