Police investigating college baseball team for allegedly putting paint thinner in opponent’s water cooler

Police are investigating an incident that took place at a college baseball game in Kansas recently between Kansas Wesleyan and Bethany College.
Per a tweet from an account (not associated with either Kansas Wesleyan or Barstool), someone from the Bethany College program tampered with their water cooler by adding paint thinner to it.

A report from TMZ Sports linked to the police report into the matter. Per TMZ, some of the potential offenses the police are investigating include: criminal threat, contaminated food/water sources, battery, knowing/recklessly causing bodily harm and criminal damage to property.
Kansas Wesleyan issued a statement on the matter:
“Kansas Wesleyan is aware of the primary tweet — made by an account not affiliated with the university — regarding this situation. We take this extremely seriously. Therefore, we immediately began a thorough, in-depth review, with the priority of putting the health and safety of our student-athletes first.” The school continued … “This review, which includes complete cooperation with the Lindsborg, KS Police Department’s investigation of the matter, is ongoing and is a high priority.”
We’ll see what comes of this situation and the police investigation into the matter.
