The Florida Gators punched their ticket to the SEC Baseball Tournament Championship Game Sunday afternoon after defeating Texas A&M 9-0.

In fact, the Gators finished Saturday 2-0, with the first win coming against the Alabama Crimson Tide 11-6.

The story of the game was Florida starter Timmy Manning. The sophomore southpaw shut down the Aggies potent lineup. Manning was pulled in the bottom of the 6th. He allowed just 5 hits over 5 innings with 6 strikeouts and no runs. Fisher Jameson also pitched well allowing no hits, no runs and struck out 4.

Gators centerfielder Jud Fabian got the scoring started against the Aggies with a solo homerun in the top of the second.

Leadoff hitter Wyatt Langford stretched Florida’s lead to 7-0 in the 6th inning with a 2-run single.

BT Riopelle also added 3 hits for the Gators.

Jack Moss and Troy Claunch had 2 hits each for Texas A&M.

Now, Florida awaits the winner of Tennessee and Kentucky. The Vols and Wildcats play late Saturday night for a championship berth.
