The bracket for the 2024 ACC Tournament has been finalized.
The league’s regular season came to a close on Saturday night with several intriguing results, including North Carolina’s win over Duke in Durham. That victory secured the outright ACC title for the Tar Heels and the No. 1 seed in this week’s ACC Tournament.
The Tournament, which includes all 15 ACC programs, will begin on Tuesday in Washington DC with 3 games: Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech, NC State vs. Louisville and Boston College vs. Miami.
On Wednesday, in the second round, 5 new teams will enter the fray: Virginia Tech, Florida State, Wake Forest, Syracuse and Clemson. Thursday, the top 4 seeds in the ACC Tournament — North Carolina, Duke, Virginia and Pitt — will all play for the first time.

3 teams with NCAA Tournament implications
North Carolina
North Carolina’s big win over Duke didn’t just give the Tar Heels the outright regular season title — it also put the Tar Heels within range of earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Losses by Tennessee, Arizona and Iowa State on Saturday also helped that effort. There’s likely just 1 vacancy on the top line entering this week, with Houston, UConn and Purdue all heavily-favored to earn No. 1 seeds. If UNC can run the table in Washington DC, it could join that trio of programs on the top line.

Virginia
Oh, Virginia. Despite earning the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament, the Cavaliers are not a shoe-in for the NCAA Tournament. That’s because UVA has slipped to 50th in the NET 4 of its last 7 games to end the regular season. Virginia is also just 2-6 in Quad 1 games and has failed to score 50 points in 4 of its last 6 contests. Virginia will likely get at least 1 winnable Quad 1 opportunity this week, however, as it could face Clemson as early as Thursday. Virginia beat Clemson on the road back on Feb. 3 for its most-recent Quad 1 victory.
Wake Forest and Pitt
I’m including both the Demon Deacons and Panthers here because, with the way this bracket sets up, they could very well be competing for the same NCAA Tournament berth. If Wake wins its second-round game against either Notre Dame or Georgia Tech, it will face Pitt on Wednesday. The winner of that game will advance to the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, almost certainly with another Quad 1 win on their résumé. The loser goes home and will more-than-likely be awaiting their NIT pairing on Sunday.
