Adou Thiero is unavailable on Saturday when Arkansas hosts No. 25 Mississippi State to close out the regular season.

The Razorbacks’ leading scorer was listed as out on the official availability report submitted to the SEC on Friday night. Thiero has not played since Feb. 22.

Thiero left the Mizzou game in the second half with what was later described by coach John Calipari as a back injury. He didn’t return, and Calipari did not have an update on him after the game. However, several nights later, prior to its game against Texas, Arkansas announced that Thiero had hyperextended his left knee and would undergo further evaluation.

Arkansas did not provide a timetable for his return to the floor, adding only that surgery was not expected.

In 26 starts this season, Thiero has averaged 15.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game — all career-bests. He’s shooting 54.8% from the field in 28.4 minutes a night.

With Boogie Fland already sidelined and Thiero out for an undefined period of time, Arkansas is trying to make the NCAA Tournament without 2 of its best creators. As things currently stand, the Razorbacks appear to be in the field, though they’re not far from the bubble. According to Bracket Matrix, Arkansas is appearing in 99% of tracked brackets as an 11-seed, on average.

Saturday’s game against the Bulldogs (20-10, 8-9 SEC) is set to tip off at noon ET on SEC Network. Arkansas (18-12, 7-10) is a 1-point favorite in the game at bet365.
