Alex Condon and Florida are looking to make the Final Four as they take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Elite Eight on Saturday night. The Gators have a ton of backcourt talent led by Walter Clayton Jr., but the frontcourt, led by Condon, helps make the Gators a special team.
Condon finished the Sweet 16 win against Maryland with 6 points and 4 rebounds in 14 minutes of playing time, but he had to leave the game due to an injury. He left in the middle of the first half before eventually returning in the middle of the second half.
With the off-day on Friday, Condon was able to get treatment and work with the training staff. The off-day apparently helped with college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reporting a Florida spokesman announced Condon is fully available for the Elite Eight.
With Condon healthy, the Gators have the size to contest the rim, which is where the Red Raiders are very good. J.T. Toppin is one of the best players in the country, averaging 18 PPG and 9 RPG.
Heading into the matchup, BetMGM has Florida as a 7.5-point favorite to win and reach the Final Four. Be sure to track all the odds on the Gators with the Florida gambling apps.
Any time a Final Four berth is on the line, players are going to do whatever they can to be able to play in the game. Condon is going to be out there for his team, which makes the Gators even tougher to beat.
