Amir Khan, McNeese’s manager who went viral across the past few weeks, will follow Will Wade to NC State, set to serve as a graduate assistant for the Wolfpack.

According to some reports, Khan earned more than $100K in NIL earnings from brands such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Under Armour, TurboTax and more. He did so from a few videos that went viral of him leading the team out of the tunnel, rapping after wins and plenty more.

Khan was everywhere this week:

Wade was hired by NC State just before the start of the tournament. Wade, who used to coach LSU, VCU and Chattanooga, spent 2 seasons at McNeese and advanced the Cowboys to the tournament both years. McNeese’s win over Clemson on Thursday was the first NCAA Tournament win in school history.

NC State offered Wade the job after 8 years with Kevin Keatts, who coached the Wolfpack to one of the more unlikely Final Four runs tournament history last season. Keatts was fired following a 12-19 year in 2025.

McNeese’s NCAA Tournament stay is officially over following Purdue’s elite offensive showing Saturday. The Cowboys couldn’t stop Purdue’s Trey Kauffman-Renn or Fletcher Loyer, who combined for 37 points in a 76-62 win.
