Arkansas vs. Texas Tech: Razorbacks open as underdog for Sweet 16 matchup

Arkansas picked up a 75-66 win against St. John’s to advance to the Sweet 16 next week. It wasn’t the prettiest game, as neither team shot the ball well at all, and there were a ton of fouls called.
It was everything fans could have hoped for in a John Calipari vs. Rick Pitino type of game. In the end, the Razorbacks continued their strong play at the end of the season. Up next for Arkansas is a Texas Tech team that is coming off a 77-64 win against Drake.
With the matchup already set, that means Vegas has the spread out in the game, and the Razorbacks are a 5.5-point underdog to the Red Raiders per ESPN Bet. Being an underdog isn’t going to be something that bothers Arkansas, as they were underdogs in the first 2 games of the NCAA Tournament against Kansas and St. John’s. Be sure to track the Final Four odds throughout the tournament, and check back to see where the Razorbacks sit ahead of the Sweet 16 matchup.
Arkansas has continued to get healthier as of late, and there is a good chance the Razorbacks get their leading scorer and rebounder Adou Theiro back from injury. That would be a major boost for a program that has not been to the Final Four since 1995.
These are 2 similar teams in terms of how they want to play. They are both athletic and physical on the inside and have playmakers on the perimeter as well. The over/under for this game is 144.5, as both of these teams are capable of getting out and scoring as well.
Arkansas and Texas Tech will play on Thursday next week, but a tip-off time has not yet been determined.
