Former President Barack Obama, as he does every year, revealed his 2025 men’s and women’s NCAA Tournament bracket Thursday morning ahead of the Round of 64.
Like many others, Obama seems to realize this year’s NCAA Tournament outlook is a little chalkier than most seasons. The 44th President picked 3 SEC teams to advance to the Final Four: Auburn, Florida and Tennessee, alongside Duke from the East region. On the women’s side Obama has South Carolina, Notre Dame, USC and UCLA advancing to the Final Four.
But his champion comes from the ACC on the men’s side. Playing it safe yet again, Obama has Duke over Florida on the men’s side and South Carolina over UCLA in the women’s bracket.
The 2025 NCAA Tournament technically started on Tuesday with Alabama State’s thrilling win over St. Francis at the buzzer. North Carolina then decimated San Diego State to finish out Tuesday’s action.
On Wednesday Mount St. Mary’s earned the honor of being blown out by Duke with a win over American while Xavier came back from down 13 to beat Tre Johnson, Tramon Mark and the Texas Longhorns. Though some don’t count the First Four, the SEC is 0-1 to start the NCAA Tournament.
The Tournament continues Thursday at 12:15 p.m. with 8-seed Louisville taking on 9-seed Creighton.
