CBS Sports updated 2022-23 men’s basketball rankings feature 6 SEC teams in top 25

Now that the deadline for players to withdraw from the 2022 NBA Draft and return to school has passed, we have a better understanding of what teams will look like during the 2022-23 season.
That means it’s time to update some early rankings, and CBS Sports analyst Gary Parrish updated his Top 25 (And 1) rankings recently.
As you can see below, he has 6 SEC teams in the top 25, led by Kentucky and No. 4 and Arkansas at No. 5:
- No. 4 — Kentucky
- No. 5 — Arkansas
- No. 9 — Tennessee
- No. 13 — Auburn
- No. 17 — Texas A&M
- No. 21 — Alabama
How will those rankings change over the next few months? We’ll see what happens as the transfer portal continues to be a factor for a number of squads in the SEC.
