Coward is familiar to the transfer process. The Fresno, California native began his career at DIII program Willamette University in 2021-22. He then transferred to Eastern Washington for 2 seasons before arriving at Washington State for the 2024-25 campaign.
Last season, Coward was limited to just 6 games due to a shoulder injury. He was off to a strong start before the injury, averaging 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Playing 32.8 minutes per contest, he shot 55.7% from the field and 40% from 3-point territory.
Coward was a first-team All-Big Sky selection in 2023-24 when he started all 32 games for Eastern Washington, averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
