Cedric Coward is heading to Duke to continue his college basketball career.

The 6-6 Washington State transfer guard was one of the top available players in the transfer portal. He narrowed things down to Duke and Alabama, going with the Blue Devils over the Crimson Tide.

Coward is familiar to the transfer process. The Fresno, California native began his career at DIII program Willamette University in 2021-22. He then transferred to Eastern Washington for 2 seasons before arriving at Washington State for the 2024-25 campaign.

Last season, Coward was limited to just 6 games due to a shoulder injury. He was off to a strong start before the injury, averaging 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Playing 32.8 minutes per contest, he shot 55.7% from the field and 40% from 3-point territory.

Coward was a first-team All-Big Sky selection in 2023-24 when he started all 32 games for Eastern Washington, averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
