Coach K knows all about winning a national title at Duke. The now-retired coach has kept his eye on the trajectory of this year’s team under Jon Scheyer, and the Hall of Famer believes the Blue Devils could win it all this year.

Ahead of the Final Four in San Antonio, Coach K admitted he views this year’s team as “worthy” of winning it all. While the talent of the group is undeniable, with a host of 5-star players and likely No. 1 overall draft pick Cooper Flagg, Coach K described that worthiness through the lens of the unselfishness of the group.

“This group is worthy of winning a national championship,” said Mike Krzyzewski about the 2024-25 Blue Devils. “Obviously, they’re very talented — they may be the most talented as far as future and current but definitely future. But they’ve been really good kids. He hasn’t had one attitude problem. They help one another. It’s a very cohesive group.”

Not only does Coach K view this squad as worthy, but FanDuel has Duke as the favorite in the latest odds to win March Madness. The Blue Devils lead the four finalists at +100 with Florida checking in at +190 as the most likely opponent in the title game.

Duke is also a 5.5-point favorite for the national semifinal game vs. Houston, and fans can check out the best betting apps to get into the action.
