The College Basketball AP Top 25 was updated for the first edition of March on Monday, and the top of the poll continues to feature a familiar face.

Auburn, fresh off securing the outright SEC title, remains locked into the No. 1 overall spot in the country. The Tigers grabbed all 61 first-place votes on the poll and continue to lead the country with an astounding 16 Quad 1 wins after blowing out Kentucky in Lexington.

Duke, 1 of just 2 teams to beat Auburn thus far, remains locked into the No. 2 spot. While the Blue Devils have far fewer Q1 opportunities in the ACC this year, Jon Scheyer’s squad is still viewed as one of the most talented in the country.

As for the rest of the top 5, Florida slid from No. 3 to No. 5 after an upset road loss to Georgia. That allowed Houston and Tennessee to bump up to No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Alabama comes in at No. 7 to give the SEC 4 of the top 10 spots in the country.

Overall, the SEC still has 10 teams featured in the top 25 or “others receiving votes” section as we enter the final week of the regular season and begin gearing up for the SEC Tournament in Nashville. Fans can track all the odds for the postseason matchup with any of the best sports betting apps available.
