College GameDay was live ahead of the NCAA Tournament championship game between a pair of 1-seeds in Houston and Florida.
The Cougars got to the title game with a stunning comeback against Duke. Florida needed a comeback of its own (albeit a less dramatic one) against Auburn.
Now the 2 teams are set to face off in San Antonio for a chance to cut down the nets. This is what it’s all about, folks.
ESPN’s College GameDay crew hosted a show from the Alamo in San Antonio ahead of Monday night’s game. At the conclusion of the broadcast, analysts Jay Williams, Seth Greenberg and Sean Farnham all picked who they thought would win the game.
Here’s a look at who the guys picked to win it all on Monday night to conclude March Madness:
No. 1 Florida vs. No. 1 Houston Picks
- JWill: Houston
- Greenberg: Florida
- Farnham: Florida
The title game tips off at 8:50 p.m. ET on CBS. Can Walter Clayton Jr. continue his heroics for the Gators? Or will Houston’s elite defense stymie the Florida offense?
Both of these teams have a knack for coming from behind, so don’t count either of them out until the final buzzer sounds at the Alamodome.
