College GameDay was live from Houston on Saturday morning ahead of a Big 12 showdown between Houston and Iowa State.

However, many in the SEC were confused as to why the popular ESPN pregame show wasn’t in College Station for a top-10 matchup between No. 6 Tennessee and No. 7 Texas A&M.

The SEC also has another top-20 matchup on the slate as No. 17 Kentucky pays a visit to a reeling Alabama team, though the Tide are still ranked No. 4 in the nation and in the mix for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Still, when it came to the picks segment, the GameDay crew of Jay Williams, Andraya Carter, Seth Greenberg and Jay Bilas, guided by estimable host Rece Davis, picked winners for some key SEC games on the Saturday, February 22, slate.

No. 6 Tennessee at No. 7 Texas A&M

  • J-Will: Texas A&M
  • Carter: Tennessee
  • Greenberg: Texas A&M
  • Bilas: Texas A&M

No. 17 Kentucky at No. 4 Alabama

  • J-Will: Alabama
  • Carter: Alabama
  • Greenberg: Alabama
  • Bilas: Alabama

Will the GameDay crew be proven right? Do we have any upsets brewing on the Saturday slate? We’ll find out as another exciting Saturday of SEC men’s hoops gets underway!
