South Carolina star Collin Murray-Boyles is reportedly making his call on his playing future.
According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Murray-Boyles is planning to declare for the 2025 NBA Draft. He is a projected lottery pick by many, so it’s unlikely fans see a reversal or change of heart from Murray-Boyles down the road.

According to ESPN’s latest 2-round NBA mock draft, Murray-Boyles projects as the No. 10 overall pick to the Houston Rockets. In that scenario, he is the 3rd SEC basketball star off the board and 1 of 7 first-round picks from the league.
This past season, Murray-Boyles was the SEC’s leader in field goal percentage (58.6%) and effective FG percentage (59.9%). He is a career 59% shooter from the floor for South Carolina and improved his 3-point shooting and free-throw shooting as a sophomore.
At 16.8 points per game, Murray-Boyles was the 9th-leading scorer in the SEC this season and was 3rd in the conference while averaging 8.2 rebounds. Those marks led the Gamecocks while he also led the team in steals (1.5) and blocks (1.3) and was 2nd on the team with 2.4 assists per game.
His all-around skill set at 6-foot-7 and 231 pounds should be in high demand, and his departure leaves a major hole for South Carolina entering next season.
