Peter Burns is putting his SEC Tournament predictions out there, even at the risk of them going cold.

The SEC Network analyst noted that he likes 2 upsets in the opening round. Burns has No. 16-seed South Carolina defeating 9-seed Arkansas and 13-seed Texas knocking off 12-seed Vanderbilt. The Longhorns are a noted bubble team in need of SEC Tournament wins.

Burns also sees 10-seed Mississippi State taking care of business against 15-seed LSU. He then expects 7-seed Mizzou, which received a 1-game bye, to bounce back against MSU.

The winner of a Mizzou-Mississippi State game would advance to take on 2-seed Florida. The Gators are Burns’ pick to win the conference tournament. Burns has UF beating Auburn, the regular-season conference champion and top seed in Nashville, for a second time in 2025.

Burns has Texas A&M sending Texas home and advancing to play Tennessee. One win in Nashville would likely have the Longhorns sweating it out on Selection Sunday. He did not predict a Texas A&M-Tennessee winner, but expects a low-scoring game.

The analyst’s predicted bracket also has Kentucky and Alabama meeting in a Friday quarterfinal. Burns expects an electric game, but did not share a pick for the winner.

We’ll see how everything plays out starting Wednesday when Arkansas and South Carolina meet at 1 p.m. ET in Game 1.
