ESPN Basketball Power Index rankings have been updated ahead of a midweek slate of SEC games.
Auburn, despite sitting at No. 1 in the AP Poll for another week, isn’t at No. 1 (or even No. 2) in the latest ESPN BPI rankings. The top spot goes to Duke, while Houston slots in at No. 2 in the updated rankings.
Still, the SEC has a strong showing, with 3 teams in the top 5 and 4 in the top 10. Here’s where every team currently stands in the ESPN BPI as of Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025:
- No. 3 — Auburn
- No. 4 — Tennessee
- No. 5 — Florida
- No. 6 — Alabama
- No. 15 — Kentucky
- No. 18 — Texas A&M
- No. 28 — Ole Miss
- No. 30 — Mississippi State
- No. 31 — Mizzou
- No. 33 — Texas
- No. 42 — Arkansas
- No. 45 — Georgia
- No. 53 — Oklahoma
- No. 55 — Vanderbilt
- No. 66 — LSU
- No. 80 — South Carolina
How will the SEC’s midweek slate affect these rankings? We’ll see what happens as another exciting week of SEC men’s hoops gets underway on Tuesday night.
The SEC is still cruising toward a potentially historic showing on Selection Sunday. Every game just means more from here on out for teams with any hopes of qualifying for March Madness.
