ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has updated his bracketology projections ahead of the midweek slate of games.
SEC teams were off on Monday night, but there was plenty of action elsewhere around the country. Lunardi has 13 SEC teams in the field of 68, with Georgia in the mix as a First Four Out squad.
Nine SEC squads are on solid ground. Texas and Vanderbilt are among the Last Four Byes. Arkansas and Oklahoma are part of the Last Four In and slotted for First Four action.
Here’s a look at where everyone stands:
- Auburn – No. 1 seed South
- Alabama – No. 1 seed Midwest
- Florida – No. 1 seed West
- Tennessee – No. 2 seed Midwest
- Texas A&M – No. 2 seed West
- Kentucky – No. 5 seed Midwest
- Mizzou – No. 5 seed Midwest
- Ole Miss – No. 6 seed South
- Mississippi State – No. 7 seed Midwest
- Texas – No. 10 seed South (Last Four Byes)
- Vanderbilt – No. 11 seed West (Last Four Byes)
- Oklahoma – No. 11 seed East (First Four game vs. San Diego State)
- Arkansas – No. 12 seed South (First Four game vs. Wake Forest)
- Georgia – First Four Out
As for Tuesday’s games, 4 projected teams are in action. No. 7 Texas A&M is on the road at Mississippi State. No. 2 Florida will look to stay on track for a No. 1 seed against an Oklahoma squad that is fighting to stay in the field. Both games tip off at 7 p.m. ET. South Carolina and LSU, two SEC teams outside the field, play at 9 p.m. ET.
