Former Alabama WR DeVonta Smith likely upset some Crimson Tide fans with his March Madness bracket.

Smith, a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles, filled out his NCAA Tournament picks for the official March Madness account on X (formerly Twitter). Unlike some, Smith isn’t picking his alma mater to cut down the nets.

UA fans won’t be amused to see Smith has 2-seed Alabama falling to 1-seed Duke in the Elite 8. It won’t help that Smith has Auburn making the Final Four as the No. 1 overall seed out of the South Region.

Some other SEC fanbases won’t be happy with Smith’s picks.

Smith notably has Drake, the 11-seed in the West, beating Missouri and then Texas Tech to reach the Sweet 16. His boldest pick is his national champion.

UConn is the back-to-back defending national champ, and Smith likes the Huskies to make it a 3-peat. The Huskies, though, are just an 8-seed in this year’s tournament. UConn first plays 9-seed Oklahoma. Smith has the Huskies taking down 1-seed Florida, 5-seed Memphis, 2-seed St. John’s, 1-seed Auburn and 1-seed Duke to complete the incredible run.
