Former Auburn star Chad Baker-Mazara played a crucial role for Bruce Pearl as the Tigers rolled to the Final Four this past season. Now, he’s heading to the Big Ten for one final college basketball season, revealing his commitment on Monday.

Baker-Mazara confirmed on social media that he’s heading west to play for USC during the 2025-26 season. That will team Baker-Mazara with former Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman, who is entering his 2nd season leading the Trojans.

This past season, the 6-foot-7 Baker-Mazara was Auburn’s 2nd-leading scorer behind Johni Broome at 12.3 points per game. He was one of the top 3-point threats for the Tigers this season at 38%, and he is a career 39.8% shooter from deep.

A versatile guard, Baker-Mazara also averaged 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals across 73 appearances in 2 seasons at Auburn. While he often ruffled the feathers of opposing teams, Baker-Mazara was instrumental as Auburn rolled all the way to the Final Four before losing to Florida in the national semifinals.

At USC, Baker-Mazara joins an elite transfer portal class for Musselman as he tries to build the Trojans toward an NCAA Tournament appearance. Baker-Mazara is the 8th hard transfer commitment for USC, a group that ranks as the 5th portal class in the country, per 247 Sports.
