It will be Montgomery’s second transfer in as many seasons. Montgomery chose to play for Mike White at Georgia in 2024-25 after a standout season at Mount St. Mary’s.
Montgomery made 17 appearances as a bench contributor for the Bulldogs this past season. He averaged 6.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game over 15.5 minutes.
Montgomery came to Athens after a standout freshman season at Mount St. Mary’s, where he was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s Rookie of the Year. In the 2023-24 campaign, Montgomery averaged 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and a team-high 1.7 steals over 27.8 minutes per game in 32 appearances. Though he was a top contributor, Montgomery made just 10 starts during his freshman season.
Montgomery is originally from Broward County, Florida. In between his final season at Somerset Prep Academy Charter School and his first season at Mount St. Mary’s, he spent a post-grad year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia.
