Grant Nelson is good to go for No. 7 Alabama against No. 5 Florida on Wednesday night in Tuscaloosa.
Crimson Tide fans were concerned when Nelson was included on Tuesday’s SEC availability report with the label of “questionable.” Ahead of tipoff, Wednesday’s updated availability report no longer includes Nelson, indicating he is available to play. Latrell Wrightsell Jr., Derrion Reid and Houston Mallette are ruled out, as noted on Tuesday’s initial report.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, Alabama is favored by 3.5 points over Florida. The game is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN 2.

A 6-11 forward, Nelson has been a regular starter for Alabama the past 2 seasons. This season, Nelson is averaging 11.8 points and 8 rebounds per game over 26.3 minutes. He is shooting 53% from the field.
Alabama and Florida are both comfortably in the NCAA Tournament. In the most recent projections from ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, both the Crimson Tide and Gators are currently 2-seeds, with Auburn, Tennessee, Houston and Duke grabbing the 4 top seeds.
Alabama and Florida are meeting for the first time in 2025. The teams had 3 memorable meetings over a 23-day span in 2024, including the SEC Tournament. UF won in Gainesville and Nashville, while UA won last year in Tuscaloosa.
