Jahvon Quinerly is repping his former school with the program visiting his home state for the Sweet 16.

Quinerly, a New Jersey native, narrated the Alabama hype video for Thursday’s Sweet 16 showdown with BYU.

Quinerly did not start or end his college career at Alabama, but he has been back around the team in recent days with the Crimson Tide set to face BYU in Newark.

Quinerly played for Villanova in the 2018-19 season. He then transferred to Alabama and sat out the 2019-20 season under the old transfer rules. He spent 3 seasons playing for Nate Oats at UA, but transferred to Memphis for the final season of his career.

“I tell people all the time, even though my last year I finished at another school, Alabama will always be home,” Quinerly told AL.com’s Nick Kelly recently.

Quinerly was part of Alabama squads that reached the Sweet 16 in 2021 and 2023. As Quinerly references in the video, the expectations are greater in 2025 with Oats having led the Crimson Tide to the Final Four in 2024.

To make it back-to-back Final Fours, the Tide will have to first make it to the Elite 8 by taking care of business against BYU. The game is set for a 7:09 p.m. ET tipoff.
